Legoland!

When Dad turned 40 Nana didn't know what to buy him. The man who has everything she calls him. So she bought him tickets for Legoland for us! The appropriate day arrived in the guise of an inset day, a Friday so Mum didn't have any excuse not to come, and some rain to keep the crowds away. Two boys from school were also going.

The car ride - are we there yet? Mum was fascinated by the dead trees near the Queen's house.

Anyway, Legoland - wow!

Here are Dad and I on the water ride, where we got REALLY wet - The Vikings'  River Splash

This Knight welcomed us to find the Dragon. We went on two rollercoasters, Dragon's Apprentice and The Dragon. Mum went on the first one, which was TEENY, and said she'd had enough!

Atlantis Submarine Voyage - this was my Mum's favourite bit. There's too much to explain so click this link to find out. Basically you are a researcher on a project in one of two Lego subs, and you see real fish and Lego fish, and real sharks and Lego sharks! Honest!

This is outside a submarine - cool

Dinosafari - this picture doesn't do it justice. We saw the Loch Ness Monster, and loads of other dinosaurs and huge spiders and things YUK said Mum.

Legocars - these were for 5 and under, the bigger cars were for 6 and above. Dad said we shouldn't encourage lying, so I didn't try the bigger ones!

Helicoptors - Chopper Squadron - Tally Ho old chap, says Harold the Helicoptor!

MINILAND
My Dad took about 150 photos of the Miniland, it was cool. But there are too many to post, so we chose a few cool ones. He missed the Dalek on the outside of a sky scraper!

Isambard Kingdom Brunel's famous bridge - all South Westerners know who he is!

Digger Challenge - real JCBs as well - I did loads of scooping. All those years of practising in sand with little diggers paid off

Wave Surfer - this was well cool! Awesome baby! Mum didn't come on this one...
On our way out, just before Mum and Dad lost loads of Lego pounds in the shop!

All in all, what a fab day. Thanks Nana and Grandad, we really enjoyed ourselves! In the shop, Dad kept saying Are you sure you don't want a Star Wars ship? No, I kept saying. I bought Creationary, like Pictionary but with, you guessed it, Lego; some keyrings; Pirates of the Caribbean set and then Dad went and bought himself a Star Wars toy!
