Swing ball - an only child's best friend

It's the game that gives back. My mum reckons she's the champion after beating Uncle Ben in a French tournament, but I'm getting nearly good enough to beat her.

Our second night was more successful than the first. The next door mum smiled at my mum this morning on the way back from the toilets, which is code for "You didn't snore as much last night as the night before thus not necessitating a second request from my husband to your other half to try not to snore again". Phew. My mum was ready to commit tenticide.

Their dog didn't bark either. Nor their dig.

I was off this morning, playing football and climbing trees with my new best friend and his brother. They are from the tent not next door, but in the next little field. There is another bro/sis combo nearby apparently from Southsea too!

Today it's given overcast 15 degrees, so not a beach day like yesterday but maybe crabbing at Muddeford and a boat ride. Who knows.

In other news, the new group of lads who arrived yesterday complete with guitar serenaded us with Lynnard Skynnard and Pink Floyd last night - a world away from Abba and The Shangri-las from the hospital radio couple of the might before. How is Tom from Havant's hip, I wonder?
