We played at Horndean today. We were one player down against 6 and obviously no subs. Playing uphill for the first half, we surprised everyone with our team effort, possession and shots on goal. J and L made their league goal debuts, as did I just before full-time, and what a cracker it was. J won man of the match as he worked a lot on his own. O was the fastest on the pitch, and S's tackles were great. Our parents were cheering loudly from the sidelines and that helped us.
Dad celebrated my first goal by buying me a new pair of goalie gloves. They are huge but I suppose I will grow into them.
In other news, Mum and I both have sniffles. And football training will now be Saturday mornings meaning 3 hours of footie!
