17 days off - get in

Our Easter hols (doesn't it sound odd saying that when Easter is at the end?) started with football training. Plus ca change...

Ben invited the Jonirobs around in the afternoon to meet his new pets, whose names have now changed to Jake and Elwood. The boys weren't that keen to start with but Robert came round.

Sunday was Dad's treat. We were going to Butser Farm, but because of the rain, Ben wanted to go bowling. We tried out the new Park n Ride from Tipner - what a treat! £2 per car, it was a bargain, even if it took half an hour to drive there. The parking in Gun Wharf upsets me so that did help a bit. Strada came up trumps again with a lovely meal - oh those massive olives - and we did a bit of shopping. Bowling was fun, especially as you don't have to wear the ridiculous-looking hot slippy shoes anymore! Of course Dad thought he'd win hands pins down, but Ben won both games! (Nothing to do the the sides....) I thought I'd lose but despite taking my time to find my preferred ball (orange size 10) and stance (left to bowl middle), my first couple of no scores didn't matter too  much. In fact Dad and I drew on the second game! YAY!

Monday morning lie in, well Ben was up til 11pm on his tablet! Hmmm. Need to think again about that one, Mr Curtis. He did download Minecraft yesterday... Harry and Rosie came around to see us today. Harry wasn't that interested in the pigs, but Rosie loved them. She kept getting Ben to get carrots out of the fridge for them. Very cute. The boys had fun light-sabering and even Rosie got into the action with a rifle. Thanks for the yummy cakes Sarah.

Plans for the rest of the hols - football, meeting Max and Erin, football, football and Sachin, football and guess what? More football.
