Week 1 started well with play on the Monday with Harry and Rosie, no photo taken grrr, and football on the Tuesday for 5 hours. The first of many sessions. Wednesday it was arranged to meet up en Puddle at Canoe Lake with Erin and Elizabeth and Max. Two dads and two mums. All gossips too. We had great fun. The kids were allowed to go to the "exercise bit" outside the playpark area, on the condition that THEY ALL STAY TOGETHER! What happened? One walks back - oh he didn't want to come back! Doh. Epic fail. Bud took the Puddlers to the beach and it was reported back that Ben and Max weed into the sea, but Ben went one further by washing his hair in the same spot immediately afterwards. Nice. Maybe it's an old wive's (one wife?) to tame his cow lick?
When the Puddlers had gone, Ben found some school mates in James and the Their mums had been sat outside the "new" Model Village cafe without buying much all day! OOOOOO racy.
First ice of the year followed on from the first skanky tea of the year. The tea is now served in takeaway paper cups which does not taste the same as in their Acme white mugs of yesteryear. Things weren't like they used to be in the olden days... I remember when we used to go there with Emma and Conrad, before George arrived, and drink loads of skanky tea, even in winter, in the Secret Garden.... blah blah blah.
